YAKIMA, Wash.  — The Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors advanced to the semifinals of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 1B boys state tournament semifinals with a 57-50 victory over the Tulalip Heritage Hawks Thursday night at the Yakima SunDome.

The Warriors built a 19-14 first-quarter lead and ACH continued to add to their advantage in the second quarter as the Warriors took a 31-25 lead into the break.

ACH began to pour it on in the third quarter thanks to Derek Isaak, who had a game-high 26 points for the second-ranked Warriors.

Although the Warriors took a commanding 49-33 lead into the fourth quarter, the Hawks would not go quietly.

Tulalip Heritage closed out the game with a 17-8 run, but it would not be enough to knock off ACH.

Cody Jess added 11 points from the field for the Warriors in their quarterfinal victory.

Thursday’s victory over Tulalip Heritage guaranteed the Warriors a top-6 finish at the 1B state tournament.

ACH will take on the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars tonight in the semifinals of the state tournament. The opening tip is scheduled for 6 p.m.
