Noyes named Player of the Year

MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake senior post Carly Noyes was named the Columbia Basin Big Nine Columbia Division Player of the Year Sunday by the division’s coaches.

Noyes helped lead the Chiefs to their third consecutive district championship game this season and the Chiefs will host their regional tournament opener this evening at 6 p.m. when Moses Lake takes on the Bombers from Richland.

Noyes was also named the Columbia Division’s defensive player of the year.

Noyes wasn’t the only Chiefs player to earn recognition on the basketball court.

Moses Lake sophomore Jordan Loera was also chosen to represent the Chiefs as a first-team selection and a member of the all-defensive team.

Moses Lake senior Kelly Sutherland was an honorable mention selection.
