Chiefs swim to 15th place
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — The Moses Lake boys swim and dive team swam to 56 total points and a 15th-place finish at the 4A state championship meet over the weekend.
Moses Lake’s Marshall Goodrich swam to an eighth-place finish in 200-yard freestyle and Sebastian Weber set the Moses Lake school record in the 100-yard butterfly when he swam to an eighth-place finish at 53.12 seconds.
Diver Braxton Ford led the Chiefs with a 14th place finish in the dive event and Jay Bowser finished 24th.
While the Chiefs swam to a 15th-place finish, Moses Lake head coach Tony St. Onge was proud of his team’s success.
“Our performances during the individual events were outstanding during Friday’s prelims,” he said. “We were just a little off on the relays which may have cost us a top-10 finish.”
