Grocery Outlet burglarized

MOSES LAKE — Grocery Outlet in Moses Lake was burglarized twice early Wednesday morning.
When store owner Paul Emerson arrived at the store to open it for business, he saw shattered glass where there used to be a window in the automatic-door entrance.
“It appears that some miscellaneous grocery items were taken,” Moses Lake police Capt. Dave Ruffin said.
Emerson said it’s unclear what was stolen without taking inventory, but it appears alcohol was taken.
There is more than one suspect, he said. They are caught on video surveillance. The footage is being evaluated to identify the suspects.
The burglars came to the store twice, possibly because the alarm failed to sound, Emerson said.
The problem with the alarm system was resolved and it’s now functioning, he said.
The lower panel is boarded up and will be replaced Monday.
