CWU signs record class
ELLENSBURG, Wash. (AP) — Central Washington has announced the signing of a school record 36 players to national letters of intent to play football for the Wildcats.
All 36 players are from the state of Washington. The signings were announced Wednesday. The Wildcats signed six players each at defensive back, linebacker, wide receiver and on the offensive line.
Highlighting the list are five players who were named to the Associated Press All-State first team for their respective classifications in 2008. Jordan Durbin of Prosser was a first-team Class 2A All-State quarterback for the state runner-up Mustangs. Grant Cisneros of Sumner and Mike Nelson of Mount Si were both Class 3A All-State offensive linemen, Riley Wall of Capital was a first-team Class 3A All-State defensive back, and Blair Collins of Royal was a first-team All-State selection in Class 1A at wide receiver and defensive back.
