Felipe Pruneda
Felipe Pruneda, 68, longtime Warden resident, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior December 29, 2009, after courageously battling cancer. He spent his final days at home with his wife and family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Warden Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake. Felipe was born May 1, 1941 in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Tomas and Augustina Pruneda. He was raised as a migrant until he met his wife, Angelita in 1963, and then settled in Warden where he started his family and eventually started his own trucking business.
Felipe was most happy working to provide for his family and took much pride into his Trucking business in which he had for 30 years. He was then diagnosed with cancer in 1997, went into remission until 2007. Felipe and his family never gave up on faith and he had beaten all odds. Felipe was very active in his church in which he loved to sing praises to the Lord as well as helping others in need.
Felipe was preceded in death by his parents Tomas and Augustina Pruneda, brothers; Cruz, Zenaido, Santos, Isidro Pruneda, and a sister Dolores Medina and his grandson Xavier Rafael. He is survived by sisters Lina Guerra, Isabel Gonzales and brothers Raul and Rolando Pruneda, his wife Angelita Pruneda and their children; Esteban, Roberto (Jessica), Enrique, Augustina, Angie (Scott) Kisler, Felipe Jr (Lily), Rafael (Roselee) Pruneda. His family grew 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
