William (Bill) Skorick

William (Bill) Skorick, 89 years of age, went home to be with the Lord Dec. 26.

Bill was born in Butte, North Dakota, Nov. 25, 1920. Son of Olga and Emil Skorick, he was the oldest of five children. Bill and his wife Verna came to Western Washington to begin their life together. After spending 38 years in Startup, Wa., they retired to Moses Lake in 1991.

Bill had many hobbies including rock hounding, camping and fishing. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II.

Bill was active in his church, Grace Lutheran Church, for many years.

Bill is survived by his wife Verna of 67 years, three children, Jackie (CH) Rowe of Sultan, Wa., Richard (Kumiko) Skorick of Tokyo, Japan, and Bill (Sharon) Skrick of Othello, Wa. Bill has 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Sister Irene Anderson of Gold Bar, Wa.

Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 303 E. Nelson Road, Moses Lake, at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 2.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses on staff at Samaritan Hospital, and the Lake Ridge care facility.
