Dennis 'Denny' M. Olson Sr.

Dennis Olson Sr., 62, died on Thursday, December 17, 2009.

He was born in Moscow, Idaho, on March 22, 1947. He lived in Troy, Idaho, and Okanogan, Washington, before his family settled in Ephrata. After graduating from Ephrata High School in 1966, he married his wife Jeannie on December 15, 1967.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, based in San Diego and Subic Bay Philippines, working on such warships as the USS Enterprise, USS New Jersey and the USS Turner Joy. After leaving the Navy, he worked for 31 years with the Grant County PUD.

Dennis is survived by his wife Jeannie, sons Michael and Donni, sister Carol, four granddaughters (Devyn, Ashlie, Anjulie and Tianna), and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ephrata on December 28, 2009, at 11 a.m.
