Sarah Jane Jones was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Paragould, Ark. She passed away Dec. 13, in Wenatchee.
She is the daughter of Anderson and Julia Henson and the step-daughter of Robert Lashley.
Sarah moved to Seattle in 1944. She worked for Boeing during World War II.
She married Arthur Jones in 1952 and had two children, a son, William T. Jones of Normandy Park, Wash., and a daughter, Connie Pierce of Coulee City.
Surviving Sarah are her brothers and sisters, Laura Nelson of Evening Shade, Ark., Alma Roberts of Petal, Miss., Brenda Michael of Corinth, Miss., Dolores Joi Dunn of Germantown, Tenn., Georgia Cates of Osage Beach, Mo., Julia Fae Joiner of Rocky Face, Ga., Phillip Lashley of Roger, Ark., Robert Lashley of Evening Shade, Ark., Bill Henson of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Ed Hensen of Eldorado, Ill.
Mom, thank you for everything. I love you very much and miss you.
Memorial services will be held at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 416 E. Nelson Road, Moses Lake, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 21.
