Michael F. Hadley

Michael F. Hadley, age 60, passed away unexpectedly in Tigard, Oregon on July 30, 2009, while the crickets chirped their final song for him.

He was born August 11, 1948 in McMinnville, OR. A memorial service was held at the Ephrata Cemetery on August 22, near his favorite grandmother’s grave.

He attended schools at Larsen Air Force Base and in Moses Lake. He attended Big Bend Community College and received his masters degree from Western Washington University-Fairhaven. He served four years in the US Navy. Though a “big fella,” he was a gentle soul who often answered questions with questions to get you to come up with your own answer, valuing your thoughts and conclusions. He enjoyed life and was a modern day renaissance man who did so many things well. He went through many changes in his life trying on different ways of life until he settled into his home in Oregon. He lived to enjoy a good pun and could always finding something funny to share with his friends. He will be dearly missed.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Russel and Evelyn Hadley. He is survived by his Aunt Wanda, his siblings Kathryn Hadley, Richard Hadley, Lee Stanbrough, Patricia Scott and Sherry Henderson his half sister, 10 nephews, 9 nieces and his favorite mutt “Shiloh.”
