Man arrested after alleged shooting
MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake police arrested a male for allegedly shooting a BB gun at someone near Miller Drive in Moses Lake Monday.
“Additional charges of assault in the second degree and malicious mischief in the second degree to follow,” Moses Lake police reported.
At about 1 p.m., a male reported he saw a man dressed in red shooting at his residence on Miller Drive, near the railroad tracks. When the reporting party exited the home, he advised Rodriguez allegedly shot at him and his vehicle.
The suspect attempted to flee from the area. Police surrounded the area near the railroad tracks and Longview Elementary School. One man was apprehended by police.
A pellet gun was allegedly located near a fence, police reported.
Oscar Rodriguez, 24, was arrested for a Department of Corrections order for violations.
The school was not placed on lock down because classes have not yet begun.
