Leon Cooper, 67, who graduated from Warden High School with the class of 1960, died in California July 27.
Born in Modesto, California, he moved to Warden with his foster parents, Fred and Cleo Cooper, when he was 11 years old. He spent most of his adult life in Wenatchee, where he was employed by Sims Trucking.
He is survived by his three sons, Todd of Vancouver, Scott of Waterville, Shon of Chelan, five grandchildren, three brothers, Rick of Modesto, Ca., Raymond of Wenatchee, his foster mother, Cleo Cooper Petersen of Turlock, Ca., and his natural mother, Roberta Mortensen.
