Frank Lee Booth

Frank Lee Booth, 59, of Othello, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at the Columbia Crest Care Center in Moses Lake.

Frank was born on July 14, 1950, in Longview, WA to Charles and Margaret (Herlocker) Booth. He moved with his family to Othello in 1953 when his father received a section of land. Frank’s father founded Farmer’s Electric in 1956. At the age of 13 Frank began working at the shop. He graduated from Othello High School in 1968 and attended Spokane Falls Community College, spending two years in their electrical program. At a Bible study in Moses Lake Frank met Brenda Skinner. They married less then a year later on October 7, 1971. In 1972 Frank and his brother Charlie took over the family electrical business. Frank enjoyed traveling in the mission field as an electrician; he visited Mexico, Central America, Africa, Micronesia and Nicaragua. He also supported others in the mission field.

Frank was a member and Deacon at the Othello Assembly of God church for 35 years. His passion was his family; they have many memories of camping trips, Huckleberry picking on Burley Mountain, weekends at Lake Curlew, trips to the ocean and family Bar B Qs. He enjoyed salmon and sturgeon fishing. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, contagious laugh, quiet patience, his hard work ethic and morale standards.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charlie and his sister Carlee Deleon. He is survived by his wife Brenda, two sons Josh (Anne) of Snohomish and Caleb (Tennelle) of Othello, two daughters Jennifer (Chris) Boyd of Beverly, WA and Cheryl Booth of Bothell. Two sisters Barbara Escamilla of Othello and Beverly Zwar of Seattle, and 10 grandchildren.

A time for a final visitation has been set-aside at Stevens Funeral Chapel on Sunday August 23 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at the Othello Nazarene Church on Monday August 24, 2009 at 11:00 AM followed by a vault interment at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens and a reception at Othello Assembly of God.
