QUINCY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT FOG SEAL

Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the District office, 202 "G" Street SE, Quincy, Washington 98848, up to 1:00 P.M.; local time on August 26, 2009, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof, for the construction of the Quincy Municipal Airport Fog Seal.

This Contract provides for the following Work:

The fog sealing of the Quincy Municipal Airport runway and taxiways with approximately 20 tons of CSS-1 or CSS-1h emulsified asphalt, together with restriping of the runway and taxiways.

The Work shall be physically complete within 20 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions for this project and any addenda issued thereto which are on file at the District office.

The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and dated stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Contract Provisions. All proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, money order, or bid bond payable to "Grant County Port District No. 1" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.

Contract Provisions may be examined at the District office, local plan centers in the project area, or the office of the Project Engineer, Gray & Osborne, Inc., (Seattle at 701 Dexter Avenue North, Suite 200, Yakima at 107 South 3rd Street, or Olympia at 2102 Carriage Drive SW, Bldg. I). A copy of the Contract Provisions may b e obtained , free of charge, in electronic format (PDF on compact disk(s)) along with registration as a planholder only at the Yakima office of the Project Engineer, Gray & Osborne, Inc., (107 South 3rd Street, Yakima, WA 98901, (509) 453-4833). Financing of the Project has been provided by Grant County Port District No. 1 and the State of Washington. The Housing Authority of Grant County is requesting sealed bids for MarbleCrete siding and repair, removal and replacement of windows and flashing on a three story apartment building located in Grand Coulee, WA.

Bid packages are available at 1139 Larson Blvd., Moses Lake, WA, or by calling Tami Torrey at (509) 762-5541. There will be a bid walk through on Thursday, August 20, 2009. Times and locations are listed in the projects bid packages.

SHOP EXPANSION

QUINCY, WASHINGTON

Bid proposals are requested for the construction of a 5,120 square foot shop building, related utility extensions and site improvements.

The bids are due on August 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the office of the Owner located at: 1720 So. Central Avenue, Quincy, WA 98848. Sealed bids will be accepted from General Contractors. The Owner's representative will open the bids publicly. General contractor representatives may be present. Bids will be opened at 3:00 PM, allowing one additional hour to enable contractors to submit Appendix A - list of subcontractors, part of the bid form.

Award will be based upon lowest responsible bid as defined in RCW 39.04. Low bidder shall provide references for owner and architect's verification of satisfactory completion of projects of similar size and complexity.

A pre-bid walk-through will be conducted on site at 11:00 AM, August 19, 2009.

The project is to be substantially completed within 120 calendar days from the date of commencement under this contract and shall include, but not limited to: slab-on grade, CMU exterior walls, steel bar joists and metal deck with single-ply roofing membrane and rooftop HVAC units all to be completed per contract documents. Estimated construction cost is $792,000.

Washington State Prevailing wage rates shall apply.

All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond made payable to Quincy-Columbia Basin Irrigation District in the sum equal to or at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract within the time specified in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited.

The Owners reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.

Small Works Roster Notice

The North Columbia Community Action Council's (NCCAC) Small Works Roster is currently open through August 31st, 2009. Contractors may apply for placement on the Roster at any time throughout the year; however, a new form must be submitted annually to maintain eligibility.

The purpose of the Small Works Roster is to expedite the solicitation and award of bids on Weatherization and Housing Rehabilitation and Repair projects that totaled in excess of $700,000 in 2008. Services may include installation, construction, remodeling, improvement or repair, weatherizing and air sealing, other than the ordinary maintenance on real property owned by qualifying home owners.

Guideline Information: When small works projects become available, all contractors recorded on the Small Works Roster shall be invited to bid. The projects will require in general that:

  • A Performance Bond will be required before beginning work.
  • The Contractor holds a current Washington State Contractor's License.
  • Contractor must have a current Business License before beginning work.
  • Contractor shall be in good standing regarding L&I premium payment prior to

award of any contract.

  • Prevailing wages may be required and documented on some projects.
