Richard Gonzalez

Richard Gonzalez, 73, longtime Royal City resident, moved to Royal Slope in 1966, passed away on August 11, 2009.

Richard was born in Munday, Texas to Ben and Christine Gonzalez. He grew up in the Yakima Valley before leaving to serve in the Army in South Korea.

Richard was the orchard manager of M.T.M. orchards for 28 years. During his time in Royal City he served as president of the Horticultural Society, Boy Scout Leader and softball coach. He enjoyed taking people fishing and was always good for a hunting or fishing story.

He is survived by his ex-wife Judi Costello, son Ralph and his wife Viky, daughter Connie Juhl and her husband Karsten, and daughter Laura, and many grandchildren.

His son wishes to thank Sunbridge and Richard’s longtime friend, Gary Christensen, of Royal City, for his love and support.

Richard’s wishes were for a private service and to be cremated and his ashes be placed at Rim Rock Lake.

There will be no other service at his request.
