HEALTH CARE

| August 13, 2009 9:00 PM

Congresswoman Cathy McMorris-Rodgers’ comments about President Obama’s healthcare package do not seem to make much sense when compared to REALITY.

Both McMorris-Rodgers and her counterpart from the Central Washington area, Congressman Doc Hastings, seem hell bent on cutting down anything the Democrats are trying to give everyone that need decent healthcare. Their real goals seem to be questionable, given the large amounts of campaign contributions they receive from healthcare companies and drug manufacturers.

It is not understandable what is wrong with Obama’s healthcare package when on examination it is closely related to what Hastings, McMorris-Rodgers, and other Federal elected officials, plus all of us that have V.A. connected healthcare receive. I’ve had it for the past 48 years and I see nothing wrong with it. McMorris-Rodgers, with her husband’s assistants as a retired Naval Officer even enjoys mental health care facilities for her mentally ill child through this same system, and I don’t see her knocking that system, either.

The large amounts of money spent on insurance premiums, attorney fees related to medical malpractice lawsuits, and overcharges involving Fraud surely would more than pay for anything that President Obama’s healthcare proposals would cost us.
