Grant County Prosecutor

| August 11, 2009 9:00 PM

I would like to applaud our County Prosecutor D. Angus Lee for a few things:

First, is his service to our country as a Marine fighting in Iraq. He was willing to put his life on hold and on the line so that we could be safe.

Second, is his exceptional service as our County Prosecutor. Not only has he cut spending, but he has increased the number of prosecutors in the office, and he personally has a 90 percent conviction rate at trial.

Third, is his and his wife’s involvement in the community and continual support of youth sports. They regularly spend evenings and weekends coaching and supporting local youth athletes even though their own children are not involved. In the spring, they personally sponsored a local recreational soccer tournament.

Fourth, is running a campaign that complies with election law. I looked at the Public Disclosure Commission’s web page today and found that our current Prosecutor D. Angus Lee is the only candidate who has complied with PDC law.

When I cast my vote, it will be for the only candidate who has served his country, the only candidate with a 90 percent jury trial record, the only candidate with real leadership experience, our current County Prosecutor D. Angus Lee.
