The Housing Authority of Grant County is requesting sealed bids for multiple projects: Larson Re-roof to include installing new fascia and soffit on an Office Building located in Moses Lake, WA. ; FWL Demolition of a Unit with abatement of hazardous materials and lot preparation located in Moses Lake, WA ; FWL Demolition of Sheds located in Moses Lake, WA
Bid packages are available at 1139 Larson Blvd., Moses Lake, WA, or by calling Tami Torrey at (509) 762-5541. There will be a bid walk through for all three projects on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Times and locations are listed in the projects bid packages.
All bids over $25,000 must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond or certified cashier's check made payable to Housing Authority of Grant County in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Cost of bonds must be included in the bid price.
These projects are subject to Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates. Bids for the Larson project must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the project name no later than 2:00 p.m., September 3, 2009. Bids for the FWL projects must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the project name no later than 2:30 p.m., September 3, 2009. No facsimiles will be accepted.
The Housing Authority has the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularities in the bids. Notice of Application and Public Hearing
On July 29, 2009, Maiers Enterprises LLC, submitted an application for site plan review to build a new 18,000 square foot retail building that will be located in the 800 block of E. Broadway. The site is legally described as Broadway Business Park Major Plat, Lot 1. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on August 4, 2009. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: City of Moses Lake Municipal Code Title 18 Zoning, and Title 20 Development Review Process.
The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on September 10, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 411 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.
Written comments on the environmental impacts of this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m on August 19, 2009. Written comments on other aspects of this proposal will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing. In addition, persons who want to be informed of future actions or the final decision on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner listed below. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in Moses Lake Municipal Code 20.11, Appeals.
