Marian F. Vogtli

Marian F. Vogtli, 68, of Othello, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at her home with her daughter by her side.

Marian was born in Chicago, Ill., on August 26, 1940, to Walter and Marie (Stelmachowski) Fejdasz. She was raised and educated in the Chicago area. In 1958 she met George Vogtli on a blind date. They married on May 16, 1959. Marian was a homemaker during the early years of their marriage. They lived in greater Chicago area until 1977 when George was transferred to Othello. In 1979 they returned to Illinois, settling in Elk Grove Village. Marian went to work for Mid American Tile as an accounts receivable clerk. She worked there for 11 years. In 1999 George retired and they moved to Homosassa, FL. After George’s death in 2003 Marian returned to Othello to be by her daughter.

Marian loved to travel and together she and George toured the United States and Canada and had a very special trip to Jerusalem. She was an avid bowler. Marian will be remembered for her flower garden.

Marian is preceded in death by her parents, her husband George and a son George Jr. She is survived by her daughter Gail (Doug) Jordan of Othello and her son Greg Vogtli of Hernando, FL, and two grand sons David and Derek Jordan.
