Fall prep sports seasons near

MOSES LAKE — The 2009 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association fall sports seasons are less than two weeks away and student-athletes are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Fall practices are scheduled to begin Aug. 19 and Moses Lake High School student-athletes must turn in physical information, insurance information, training rules and parent permission forms into the school’s office before tryouts begin.

The main office at Moses Lake High School will be open beginning Aug. 13 from 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The office will close for one hour between noon and 1 p.m.

Running Start students interested in participating in fall sports must complete a Running Start athletic contract prior to participating this fall.

Football practices begin Aug. 19 at 8 a.m. at the high school field. Girls soccer and girls swim practices will begin at 8 a.m. Volleyball practices will begin at 9 a.m. and cross country practices will be from 3:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
