Moses Lake athletes available for work
MOSES LAKE — Student-athletes at Moses Lake High School are continuing the annual Rent-A-Jock now through Aug. 15.
The Rent-A-Jock program is designed to help members of the community and student-athletes at Moses Lake, Moses Lake head football coach Greg Kittrell said.
“They work hard and it’s a good way to help the community and help these kids go to camps,” he said.
The jobs the student-athletes will complete are endless, as long as they receive proper instruction, Kittrell said.
Each student-athlete is responsible for three to five hours of work for every $50 paid to the Moses Lake High School Associated Student Body.
All work done in the Rent-A-Jock will be done to the satisfaction of the employer, Kittrell said.
“The No. 1 thing is that the kids do a super job,” he said.
While the Rent-A-Jock program helps the community and student-athletes at Moses Lake, Kittrell said it’s an opportunity for the community and students to mingle.
“(This program) allows the kids to get out in the community and it lets the community get to know the fine kids going to Moses Lake High School,” he said.
The Rent-A-Jock program is in about its eighth year of existence and Kittrell said he appreciates the community’s help.
“We’ve appreciated everyone’s support over the years,” he said.
