Robert Cato Christensen

Robert Cato Christensen, 93, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Harriet Christensen; his seven children; Crystal, Robert, Richard, Linda, Robert, Cora, Wayne and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was born on March 27, 1916, in Bothell, Wash., to Cora Belle and Samuel Christensen. In his early years he managed the Bothell Donnybrook Dairy. After graduating from high school in Bothell he trekked across the state on horseback to attend Washington State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Husbandry. Bob was an avid fisherman and enjoyed sports and golfing. He could be seen locally volunteering at the Moses Lake Senior Center and driving the seniors to their many events via the Senior Center bus. A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life will be held Friday, April 17, at 935 W. Valley Road, Moses Lake, WA 98837 at 10 a.m. Reception will follow.
