Patrick Clair Sullivan

Patrick Clair Sullivan, 73, of Moses Lake, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 12, 2009.

Pat was born in Everett, Wash., on March 12, 1936. He resided in Northport, Wash., and Wilbur, Wash., completing high school in Wilbur. Pat married Sandra Brown in September, 1963, in Wilbur and shortly thereafter moved to Moses Lake, where he lived the remainder of his life.

Pat was employed for over 30 years by Garrett/ANR Freightlines and later by Whitney Fuel. He retired in 1998.

Pat was a member of the RCA and competed in calf roping, steer wrestling and team roping in rodeos throughout the Northwest. He was a longtime volunteer at the Moses Lake Roundup and in 1995 was named the Roundup’s Man of the Year. He spent many years assisting his son and daughter as they competed in junior rodeos and high school rodeos throughout the state and college rodeos in the Northwest. In addition to rodeo, Pat loved hunting, fishing and camping. After retirement he greatly enjoyed helping friends with livestock and harvest time driving duties.

He is survived by his wife Sandy at the home in Moses Lake, daughter Shannon (Jeff) Springer of Othello, and son Shawn (Amy) Sullivan of Okanogan, Wash., grandson Thomas Springer of Othello and granddaughter Paige Sullivan of Okanogan.

Preceding Pat in death were his father, D. C. Sullivan, mother, Cecelia P. Sullivan and brother, Robert W. Sullivan

We loved him and we will miss him.
