YAKIMA, Wash. — Moses Lake junior pitcher Karly Stoltman left no doubt in the Chiefs’ doubleheader sweep over Columbia Basin Big Nine rival Davis Friday afternoon.

Moses Lake jumped on the Pirates early in game one, scoring in each of the first four innings.

The Chiefs took a 5-0 lead after the first inning and Moses Lake scored six runs in the second, third, and fourth innings to sink the Pirates 23-0 in game one’s mercy-rule shortened contest.

Moses Lake left no doubt in game two, jumping out to a 10-0 lead before Davis had an opportunity to bat. The Pirates kept the Chiefs scoreless in the second but Moses Lake scored nine runs in the third to take a commanding 19-0 lead after three innings.

Moses Lake continued to pour it on, scoring a run in the fourth and six in the fifth to take the doubleheader sweep home to Moses Lake.
