Disc golf comes to Blue Heron Park
MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake Parks and Recreation will host the inaugural Disc Golf Tournament this Saturday at Moses Lake’s Blue Heron Park.
Saturday’s event is open to the public and tournament positions are still available.
Moses Lake Parks and Recreation has had 35 participants pre-register for the event and the first 50 to register will receive a free mid-range disc, said recreation supervisor Lori Moholt-Phillips.
“We have 35 (participants) pre-registered,” she said. “We have had several calls from around the state from (interested participants).”
The Saturday tournament will begin at 10 a.m. with open registration beginning at 8 a.m. at Blue Heron Park.
Interested participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible, Moholt-Phillips said.
“The sooner the better,” she said.
The entry fee for Saturday’s tournament is $15 per player, she said.
