Barbara L. Jinings

Barbara L. Jinings, a longtime resident of Soap Lake, died on March 30, 2009, after a long battle with lung cancer.

Barbara was born on Feb. 8, 1943, in Hammond, Ind., to William and Mary Brown. She was raised on a houseboat in Florida and New Orleans, La. She carried her southern charm and heritage wherever life’s road took her.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 30 years, Earl P. Jinings, five children, Katherine Wheeler (her husband, Gus), Mary Aubuchon (her husband, Randy), Barry Blann (his wife, Tabitha), Bryan Blann (his wife, Molly), Christopher Blann (his wife, Jennifer), and nine grandchildren, Jules St.Clair, Leia St.Clair, Ariel St.Clair, Isabella Moles, Bryan Blann, Bart Blann, Elsie Blann and Emma Blann.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicolas Blann.

Barbara opened Sharehouse, an adult family home in Soap Lake, in 1994. Barbara dedicated her life to helping countless people not only by opening her home but her heart to all she met.
