MOSES LAKE —  Members of the 2009 Babe Ruth World Series Task Force will assemble tonight to discuss the progression of planning for the August event at Larson Playfield in Moses Lake.

The Task Force will discuss the appropriate course of action to make the 2009 16-18 Babe Ruth World Series a success, said Tournament Co-Director and Task Force Chairman Randy Boruff.

“We will probably talk about the things we need to get done,” he said of tonight’s meeting.

With the Aug. 14 to Aug. 22 tournament less than five months away, Boruff said participant housing is important.

“Housing is a priority,” he said.

The World Series Task Force needs to find 81 homes for to house tournament participants.

Boruff said tonight’s meeting will be an opportunity for members of the task force to discuss the future of the tournament’s planning.

“Every question we have will be (answered) at the meeting,” he said.

The Task Force will assemble at the Holiday Inn Express on East Kittelson in Moses Lake at 7 p.m.
