MOSES LAKE - The Big Bend Community College Booster Club is hosting the Viking Booster Club Golf Tournament this Saturday at the Moses Lake Golf and Country Club.

The funds raised at the tournament will go to help supplement the Big Bend athletic department and athletic scholarships, Tournament Director John Woods said.

The tournament begins Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and Woods said the Vikings Booster Club is still looking for sponsors to help with this year's event.

"It is $200 for a hole sponsorship and $80 per golfer," he said. "We still have some space to fill."

Woods said the tournament is a scramble format and the entry fee includes golfing, cart rental and lunch.

The tournament has spaces available for individual golfers and teams and the event is dedicated to funding Big Bend Athletics, he said.

"In addition to the golfer's entry fee, we are looking for sponsors to sponsor an athlete," he said. "We want to get some of our athletes out there in the community."

Entry forms are available at Big Bend Community College and at the Moses Lake Golf and Country Club.

For more information about sponsoring the event, contact Linda Chadwick at: (509) 793-2062.

The deadline for registration and sponsorship is Friday, Oct. 3.
