Car strikes Quincy home

One injured, three arrested

QUINCY - A vehicle reportedly crashed into a house on M Street Southeast in Quincy, leaving a male with minor injuries.

It was previously reported a vehicle did not crash into a residence. The police report was not complete at the time details were released by the Quincy police.

Some additional details about the incident were provided Police Chief Bill Gonzales Friday, but many remain unavailable due to the pending investigation.

Tuesday night police officers responded to an emergency call of a female screaming for help on M Street Southeast, Gonzales stated. Officers were told of a loud bang heard at the same location the emergency call originated from.

"Upon arrival, officers found a gray Dodge sedan had run into a residence at that location," he stated. "A male victim inside the residence at the time of the accident sustained only minor injuries. Suspects had fled the scene prior to officers' arrival."

Three people involved in the incident were located at a residence on I Street Southeast shortly after the collision and were booked into Grant County Jail.

Jessie Blancas Jr., 25, Quincy, was booked for criminal conspiracy, riot, malicious mischief in the first degree, burglary in the first degree, assault in the first degree and aiming firearms. He was held at the Grant County Jail without bail.

Juan Carlos Guzman, 23, Quincy, was booked for criminal conspiracy, riot, malicious mischief in the first degree, burglary in the first degree, vehicle theft, assault in the first degree, aiming a firearm, possession of marijuana under 40 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held at the jail without bail.

Gonzales said the assault in the first degree charges stem from crashing the vehicle, which led to the male victim getting hurt.

Anastasio Santia Guzman, 20, Quincy, was booked for minor in possession of alcohol. Santia Guzman was held with bail set at $500.

"The details leading up to the event are unclear at this time," Gonzales stated.
