Hurricanes storm past Moses Lake Christian

MOSES LAKE - The boys of the Moses Lake Christian Academy hosted the Hurricanes of Mount Vernon Christian Saturday afternoon in a non-conference soccer match.

The Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes blew away the Moses Lake Christian Lions 1-0 in defensive battle MLCA head coach Scott McCornack said came down to a single mistake.

"One Defensive error ended up costing us a goal and ultimately the game," McCornack said. "We played well against a big, mature Hurricanes team and dominated the run of play for the first 60 minutes. Then (we) just ran out of gas."

The loss drops the Lions to 1-3 this season.

The Lions host Sunnyside Christian at 4 p.m. this afternoon at Kvamme Field in Cascade Park.
