PROSSER - The Quincy Jacks couldn't earn the victory Friday night when they traveled to Prosser to take on the Mustangs.

The defending 2A Washington state champions Prosser never looked back Friday night as the Mustangs earned a 76-0 victory over the visiting Jacks.

Quincy head coach Terry Dion said he was impressed with Prosser.

"We were definitely outmanned," he said. "They are superbly coached and have tremendous talent. Prosser is definitely reloading.

Dion said his Jacks got off to a solid start against the Mustangs.

"They showed a lot of character," he said. "We moved the ball early."

The Jacks were led by quarterback Jackson Hodges who finished the evening 11 for 22 for 62 yards and an interception. Trevor Hyer led the Jacks with three receptions for 28 yards and Brett Webbley had 34 yards rushing for Quincy.

Despite the final score, Dion was proud of his football team.

"They had every reason to quit, but they didn't," he said. "That was pretty impressive on their part. The hung in there pretty well. Most of our players haven't played a lot of football."
