GOLDENDALE — The Royal High School Lady Knights soccer team took advantage of a goal from Cierra Miller to earn a 1-1 tie with Goldendale.

Royal head soccer coach Jens Jensen said his team played well during their first game of the season.

“Things looked good,” he said. “There were a few moments when things looked really good.”

The Lady Knights had opportunities to earn the victory, but Jensen said he was satisfied with the tie.

“The girls had first game jitters,” he said. “We had a lot of chances, we just had trouble finding the net.”
