Seeking Bids

Ryegrass Rest Area Booster Station

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking bids from licensed contractors to do business in the State of Washington. The project entails construction of a pressure booster station for the Ryegrass Safety Rest Area located at 202831 I-90 (WB), Ellensburg, near MP 126. A walk through of the project site and access to the existing structures is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 9:00 am at the West Bound Rest Area site. Work is anticipated to commence no later than 7:00 AM on September 22, 2008 and must be completed no later than October 31, 2008. Prevailing wage rates apply. Only sealed bids will be considered and must be received by 5:00 PM on September 17, 2008 at the following address:

Utility Crossing of Lewis Horn: On Aug. 7, 2008, the Municipal Services Department of the City of Moses Lake submitted an application for a shoreline permit and C-R Zone conditional use permit to extend public water and sewer mains from 230 Crestview Drive across Moses Lake to Tax #13,814 in Cascade Valley. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on Sept. 3, 2008. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 14: Environmental Regulations, Title 18: Zoning, Chapter 19.06: Wetlands, Title 20: Development Review Process, and Shoreline Management Master Plan.

The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Oct. 30, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 401 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.

Written comments on the environmental review of this project will be accepted until Oct. 3, 2008. Written comments on other aspects of this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Persons who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner. Intuit has applied for a State Waste Discharge (SWD) permit in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90.48 Revised Code of Washington (RCW), Chapter 173-220, Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and the Federal Clean Water Act.

Intuit is constructing a data center that will house computer servers required for Intuit's business data delivery services. The facility will discharge noncontact cooling water to the

City of Quincy's municipal wastewater facility not to exceed 38,086 gallons per day.

Based on a review of Intuit's application, the Department will issue a temporary permit to Intuit for discharge of noncontact cooling water to the City of Quincy's wastewater treatment plant that will remain in force until a final permit is issued for the facility.

The temporary permit is attached with the discharge limitations, monitoring requirements, and reporting and recording keeping requirements. The requirements in the temporary permit are based off the City of Quincy's current local limits and design criteria from an approved engineering report.

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Directors of Moses Lake School District No. 161 in the Board Room at 1318 W. Ivy Ave., Moses Lake, Washington for construction of the CHIEF MOSES MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM as follows:

Contractors shall submit their Basic Bid sealed proposals up until 4:00 p.m., October 7, 2008.

Proposals received after time set for opening will not be considered. Bids will be opened and publicly read immediately after the time and date set for opening.

1. Lake Vue PURD: Schneider Homes submitted an application for a major subdivision, planned unit development, and shoreline permit on Aug. 5, 2008. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on Sept.2. The project is to replace an existing recreational vehicle park with 108 condominium units in three 4-story buildings & 6 carriage flat buildings. The site is located at 2300 Marina Drive, in the R-3, Multi-family Zone. This project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 14: Environmental Regulations, Title 16: Buildings and Construction, Title 17: Subdivisions, Title 18: Zoning, Chapter 19.06:Wetlands, Title 20: Development Review Process, and Shoreline Management Master Plan.
