Changes made for Chiefs game tonight

MOSES LAKE - With a 4-2 conference record, the Moses Lake Chiefs football team wrapped up second place in the Columbia Basin Big Nine Columbia Division this season.

Moses Lake, Pasco and Wenatchee all finished conference play with identical 4-2 records.

According Big Nine league rules, if there is a three-way tie the athletic directors from each of the schools draw a number to establish playoff seeding.

Moses Lake Athletic Director Loren Sandhop drew No. 1, vaulting the Chiefs to the second seed and a home playoff game.

With the second place finish, the Chiefs will host the Walla Walla Blue Devils tonight.

The Blue Devils finished conference play with a 3-3 record and are the third seed in the Columbia Basin Big Nine Cascade Division.

Kick off for tonight's playoff game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The gates at Lions Field will open at 6 p.m.

Because tonight's contest is a playoff game, only Big Nine league passes will be accepted.

Moses Lake School District teachers passes, family passes, adult all-season passes, ASB cards and senior citizens passes will not be accepted.

Admission for tonight's game is $5 for adults and $3 for students with ASB and senior citizens.

The newly hydroseeded field at Lions Field will be fenced off and parking will be unavailable on the field.
