Yollanda Roelle, 53, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, after a very long battle with Lupus and COPD. Yollanda was born on June 14, 1955, to Consuelo and Elias Tijerina in Toledo, Ohio. She was raised in Ohio along with her two brothers and one sister. She met the love of her life, Mike Roelle, when she was only 15 and he was 14. They married three years later and had a baby girl, Rosalinda; eight and a half years later their family was comlete when her baby boy, Mike Jr. was born. Yollanda loved children and ran a daycare out of her home for 20 years and loved every child that came through her door. She was faithful and loving and so protective of her family. Her grandchild, Mariah, was the light of her life. She loved staying the night with her, staying up late and watching cartoons. She loved the Lord and was always in prayer for all of us. Yollanda enjoyed going to lunch with her sister-in-law and morning coffee with her brother, Bob. She will be missed by all, our hearts are broken, but we know she is in Heaven and we will see her again. Preceding Yollanda in death are her best friend and mother, Consuelo Tijerina, baby brother, Rolando Tijerina, and her grandparents, Augustine and Manuela Hernandez. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael Roelle, her father Elias Tijerina, sister Irene Ortiz, brothers Elias Jr. (Ralfalinta), Roberto (Christina), half-sisters Olga Gomboa and Anita (Ron) Webb, her children, Rosalinda (Jeremy) Lohr and Mikey Roelle and one grandchild, Mariah Lohr. Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, with an informal wake service from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Benson's Funeral Home, 104 W. 5th Avenue, Moses Lake. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Benson's Funeral Home. What a difference Yollanda made in our lives!
