Moses Lake man's motorcycle struck cable barrier
MOSES LAKE - A Moses Lake man died after wrecking a motorcycle on Interstate 90, five miles east of Moses Lake Sunday afternoon.
Juan F. Zendejas Alvarez, 31, Moses Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Washington State Patrol reported Monday. He was transported to Samaritan Healthcare.
Zendejas Alvarez was traveling on the on ramp toward westbound 1-90 and reportedly drove on the soft shoulder and lost control of the 2008 Baja BV250 motorcycle he was riding.
Zendejas Alvarez reportedly crossed the westbound lanes and struck a cable barrier and was ejected from the motorcycle, the state patrol reported.
The collision was allegedly caused by Zendejas Alvarez driving with his wheels off the roadway, the state patrol advised.
Approximately $1,500 worth of damages was done to the motorcycle and it was towed from the scene.
