Adams County property taxes are due soon

ADAMS COUNTY - Adams County property taxes are due by the end of this month.

Residents can either mail their payments to the Adams County Treasurer's office at 210 W. Broadway Suite 203 in Ritzville, Wash. The zip code is 99169.

Adams County Personal Property Deputy Janet Manke said they suggest bringing the envelope into the post office to make sure it's postmarked correctly.

They also can bring them into the office as well.

People who are unsure about how much they owe can call the office at 509-659-3227 or go to the Web site adamswa.taxsister.com.

"They can look at the auditor's office or the treasurer's office and that's where they would find the tax information," she said. "They can look by the name, parcel number or the address."

Late payments are charged 1 percent interest at the end of each month they are late. There is an additional 8 percent penalty charged on Dec. 1.
