Jolane D. 'Jody' Arbuckle

Jolane D. “Jody” Arbuckle, 66, a 40-year resident of Moses Lake, passed away Oct. 19, 2008, after a very brave fight against cancer. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Moses Lake with Pastor David Daugs officiating. Jody was born Aug. 31, 1942, in Wenatchee to Albert and Charlotte Peterson. Jody was raised in Omak and graduated from Omak High School in 1960. She met the love of her life, David H. Arbuckle in 1965 and they married on July 15, 1967.

Jody worked most of her life as a bookkeeper for several businesses in town through the years and prepared taxes part time after retiring.

Jody was an avid golfer and she shared this passion with David. They have enjoyed golfing at the Sage Hills Golf Club where they have been members for more than 20 years. Jody was also the president of the Ladies Golf Club for several years. Jody enjoyed spending her time with family and playing cards and Bunco with her friends.

Jody is survived by her husband of 41 years, David; sister Becky (Jim) Freer; daughters Kim (Jim) Mckew and Kara (Steve) Knutson; stepson Jim Arbuckle; stepdaughter Kim (Rick) Eisenbrandt; grandchildren: Brad Osborne, Athena (Pat) Reimer, Ricky Eisenbrandt, Sierra McKew, Heather (Tyson) Decker, Derek Knutson, Dustin Knutson; great-grandchildren: Derrick, Danielle, Sawyer, Brooklynn, Dylan and honorary grandchildren: Allie and Josh Knutson.

Jody will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and wonderful friend. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

The family would like to request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Columbia Basin Cancer Society.
