Vergie Marie Sommerfeldt Cox

Vergie Marie Sommerfeldt Cox, 92, of Buhl, Idaho, died of natural causes on Oct. 18, 2008, in Buhl.

She was born March 15, 1916, the oldest child of William Sommerfeldt and Ella Dora Lybbert Sommerfeldt in Glenwood, Alberta, Canada. A dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, she left a legacy of service which exemplified her faith in God.

She is survived by five siblings, all currently living in Canada; and five children, VaNay Jones, Melda (Blaine) Williams, Marvin (Reta) Cox, Kenneth (Carol) Cox, Lonnie (Karen) Cox, 32 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron, and one son, Neldon.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the LDS church on Main Street in Buhl, Idaho. Dedication of the grave and interment to follow at the West End Cemetery in Buhl.
