KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA — At the 2008 winter meetings held earlier this month in Kelowna, British Columbia, the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League (WCCBL) owners approved a proposal to expand the 2009 WCCBL season.
The WCCBL will play an unbalanced and expanded schedule in 2009. The updated schedule will include additional home games for fans and will also focus on league rivalries.
With the announcement, the Moses Lake Pirates will play an additional home stand against league and division rival the Wenatchee AppleSox in 2009.
The approved expanded schedule is set to be released in late October. The 2009 WCCBL baseball season will begin Friday, June 5.
