Nancy Lynn Burns Beaumont
Nancy Lynn Beaumont passed from her earthly life into her heavenly home on Oct. 15, 2008, at the age of 55, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on June 28, 1953, to Jack and Henrietta Burns in Seattle. The family moved to Moses Lake, where Nancy lived until she graduated from high school in June of 1971. That same year she moved to Port Neches, Texas, where she met Lonnie Beaumont. They were married on June 1, 1973.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Beaumont; two sons, Blake Beaumont of Port Neches, and Brian Beaumont of Houston; two granddaughters, Madeline and Addison; her parents, Jack and Henrietta Burns of Moses Lake; two sisters, Dixie Basel and husband, Cary, of Walla Walla; Patricia McBee and husband, Steven of Kennewick, one brother, Rev. Ed Burns and wife, Judy, of Moses Lake; brother-in-law Larry Beaumont and wife, Anita of College Station, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dolleman and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Burns, and parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Beaumont.
Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church, Port Neches, where in years past she worked with Acteens, children’s choir, as well as serving on the Hospitality Committee. She loved children, working for many years with special needs children at Van Buren Elementary School, also doing Summer Recreation because the children needed a place to go for summer activities. She loved her family, her church, her special Sunday School department and ladies class, the teachers she worked with and people in general.
A celebration of her life will take place at First Baptist Church, Port Neches on Saturday, Oct.18, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by a serice at 11:15 a.m. Interment will be at the mausoleum at Oak Bluff Cementary in Port Neches, Texas. Memorials may be made to the Carol Stefflen Scholarship Fund at First Baptist Church, Port Neches.
