MOSES LAKE - Juaquin Labato-Sanchez, 35, Moses Lake, died at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane Monday afternoon after he was shot in a drive-by shooting Sunday night.

He was reportedly struck in the head by shotgun pellets while in the front yard of a residence on Sunny Drive Northeast, Moses Lake police Chief Dean Mitchell said.

Witnesses reportedly told police there were at least two people inside the vehicle firing shotgun rounds at the people outside the residence.

A white 1996 Pontiac Trans Am believed to be used during the drive-by shooting was found outside city limits and impounded, he said.

No arrests were made but there are people of interest, Mitchell noted.

A 28-year-old Moses Lake man was reportedly struck in the head and arm with shotgun pellets, Mitchell said. He was treated and released from Samaritan Healthcare.

A 19-year-old Moses Lake man was reportedly shot in the hand, he said. He was treated and released from Samaritan Healthcare.

On Monday law enforcement blocked a portion of Sunny Drive with caution tape and orange cones to prevent traffic from entering the area while they were taking measurements.
