Horace 'Ray' Webb

Ray Webb, age 77, passed away Sept. 5, 2008, in Tucson, Ariz., after sustaining a fall Aug. 26 at his home.

He died peacefully surrounded by family. He was born in Big Spring, Texas on Aug. 18, 1931. Survivors include his wife, Betty, of 19 years of Green Valley, Ariz., (former resident of Moses Lake) from his former marriage, son Bruce and daughter, Gaye Steeley and sister Jonnelle Hassapakis all of Oakdale, Calif. Stepchildren Cherie Reese of Seattle, Jeanette Fielding and Brent Reese, both of Moses Lake.

He most recently resided in Southern California; and 14 years in Eckert, Colo., and finally located in Green Valley, Ariz. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Saddle Club and a 44-year member of the Operating Engineers Union. In his retirement years he was noted for his interesting stories regarding his experiences working all over the world.

A private memorial was held at St. Mary's Hospital, in Tucson, Ariz. Remembrances can be made to your local hospice group.
