Programs begin next week

MOSES LAKE - There is still time to register for the Moses Lake Parks and Recreation Department's winter athletic programs.

Winter athletic programs available include Mat Muscle Wrestling, Little Dribblers Basketball and Little Hoopsters Basketball.

Mat Muscle Wrestling

The Mat Muscle Wrestling program is available to both boys and girls and is open to students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The Mat Muscle program will meet Monday evenings in December and January in the Moses Lake High School wrestling room.

Participants in kindergarten and first grade will participate at 6 p.m. and participants in second grade through sixth grade will participate at 7 p.m.

The program will emphasize wrestling skills, conditioning and sportsmanship. The cost of the program is $30 and includes a T-shirt. Participants who wear their Mat Muscle T-Shirt will receive free admission to the Moses Lake High School home wrestling match Jan. 29.

The Chiefs will host the Sunnyside Grizzlies Jan. 29 at 7 p.m.

Little Dribblers Basketball

The Little Dribblers Basketball program is available for interested boys in kindergarten through sixth grade. The basketball program will meet Saturdays in December and January in the Moses Lake High School gym.

Participants in kindergarten through second grade will participate Saturdays at 11 a.m. and participants in third grade through sixth grade will participate at noon.

The program will emphasize the fundamentals of basketball and sportsmanship. The cost of the programs is $30 and includes a Little Dribblers T-shirt.

Participants who wear their Little Dribblers T-shirt will receive free admission to the Moses Lake High School home basketball game Jan. 23.

The Chiefs will host the Wenatchee Panthers Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Little Hoopsters Basketball

The Little Dribblers Basketball program is available for interested girls in kindergarten through fourth grade. The basketball program will meet Saturdays in December and January in the Moses Lake High School gym.

Participants will participate Saturdays at 10 a.m.

The program will emphasize the fundamentals of basketball and sportsmanship.

The cost of the programs is $30 and includes a Little Hoopsters T-shirt.

Participants who wear their Little Dribblers T-shirt will receive free admission to the Moses Lake High School home basketball game Jan. 24.

The Chiefs will host the Sunnyside Grizzlies Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
