Moses Lake church to serve Thanksgiving dinner

MOSES LAKE - Desert Springs Community Church is serving a free Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday.

The meal is served at 5 p.m. at 1001 N. Grape Dr. in Moses Lake.

"We're getting food together for at least 300 people," said Pam Lester, wife of Associate Pastor David Lester.

Pam Lester said the church is donating and preparing all of the food for the event.

Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls and pies are among items served. A relish tray is also going to be available.

"We've got someone making like six apple pies," Lester said.

Live music is going to be played by the church's worship team.

There is no set time for the event to end, she said. As long as food is available and people are showing up, it will be served.

The church also serves free community meals Wednesday evenings, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend the events, according to the church.
