Clytie R. Nelson

Clytie R. Nelson, 98, passed away Nov. 16, 2008. She was born on Aug. 15, 1910 to Charles and Bonnie Williams in Ray, N.D.

She spent her early years on the wheat farm. She learned about the gospel in her early years and chose to serve her Lord in 1926. In 1933 the family moved to Washington state and settled in the Mount Vernon area.

In 1939 she married Grant Nelson on June 21. They made their home in the Harmony district of the west Mount Vernon area.

In 1945 they moved to Fire Island, where they farmed. In 1968 they moved to Quincy, Wash., where they lived until her passing.

She is survived by two children, Frank and wife Glenda of Soap Lake, Wash., Janet and husband Roger Goodwin of Othello, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one brother Lloyd Williams of Clarkston, Wash., and sister Ethel Watts of Clackman, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Grant Nelson, one daughter Beverly, brothers Earl, Roy and Raymond, sisters Alice, Ruth, Doris, Amy and Vera.

Services will be held Friday, Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. at Nicoles Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Wash.

Nicoles Funeral Home in Ephrata is in charge of arrangements.
