Vehicles vandalized in Moses Lake

Entry gained by breaking windows

MOSES LAKE - Eight vehicles were prowled between Wednesday and Thursday in Moses Lake and many involved forced entry by breaking windows.

Seven vehicle prowls were reported Wednesday between 8:10 a.m. and 10:52 a.m.

Two unidentified vehicles were prowled at a business on East Wheeler Road, according to a Moses Lake police record. Stereos were reported stolen from each vehicle. Entry was gained by breaking a window on one vehicle and the other vehicle was unlocked.

A window to a Chevrolet Suburban parked at a business on West Third Avenue was reportedly broken, according to a police record. It appeared the window was broken with a tire iron and the dash was damaged but nothing was stolen, police advised.

A window to a Chevrolet Suburban parking at a motel on West Driggs Drive was broken, according to a police record. A Winchester .300 magnum rifle was reported stolen from the SUV.

A window to a Jeep Cherokee parked behind a business on South Pioneer Way was broken with a tire iron or similar device, police reported. Nothing was reported missing.

A window to a Honda Pilot parked on West Third Avenue was broken, police advised. A purse containing bank cards and identification information was reported missing.

A window to a van parked at a motel on West Driggs Drive was broken and a laptop computer was reported stolen, police reported.

One vehicle prowl was reported Thursday at 8:01 a.m.

A purse was reported stolen from an unidentified vehicle on Northwest Sunburst Court, police reported. Entry was reportedly gained by breaking a window.
