Othello tops CWAC picks
OTHELLO - With second place in the Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) wrapped up and a berth in the 2A state football playoffs confirmed, the Othello Huskies continued their conference superiority this week.
Othello led all CWAC teams in selections, including league champion and defending state champion Prosser. Othello led the conference with 21 all-conference selections, Prosser was second with 16.
Senior outside linebacker Miles Gardner was the only Husky to be a unanimous first team selection.
Other first team defensive selections for the Huskies include Devon Lind, Jakob Scott, Marcos Moreno and David Garza.
Lind was also a first team all-conference return specialist selection.
Ephrata finished CWAC play with a 2-7 record and had seven all-CWAC selections, three coming from senior Eric Hensley. Hensley was selected honorable mention offensive tackle, first team punter and first team place kicker.
