Allred wins PUD election

Gained 959 vote lead with 250 to be counted

GRANT COUNTY - Grant County Public Utility District Commissioner Randy Allred will continue to serve Grant County.

Allred gained a 959-vote lead over challenger Don Long Friday afternoon, according to the Grant County Auditor's Office.

There are 250 votes left to count.

Allred accumulated 52.14 percent of the votes with 12,242 cast in his favor and Long received 47.86 percent of the votes with 11,238 votes, according to the elections office.

Allred said he thanks all his supporters for their help throughout his campaign and will continue to serve Grant County.

"I had a lot of support throughout the county and I really appreciate all the support I got," Long said.
