Allred still leads Long

1,057 votes separate Grant PUD candidates

GRANT COUNTY - Grant County Public Utility Commissioner Randy Allred continues to lead opponent Don Long in votes.

Allred has a 1,057-vote lead over Long, according to the Grant County Auditor's Office. Allred has 11,654 votes, or 52.38 percent, and Long accumulated 10,597 votes, or 47.62 percent.

During the first count, Allred had a 978 vote lead.

There are 2,000 votes left to tabulate, according to the auditor's office. The next count is to be completed by 4:30 p.m. today.

The last tabulation was Wednesday afternoon and 4,000 more ballots were counted.
